Insights, product updates, and engineering stories from the team building Africa's facility management platform.
We're building the operating system for how Africa lives and works. By 2050, Lagos alone will be home to over 30 million people; most of them in managed residential estates. Right now, the software to run those estates well doesn't really exist. Not in a way that actually fits how things work here. That's the gap we're closing. If that sounds like a hard, interesting problem; good. It is.
A facility management platform that works for a 20-unit estate must also work for a 10,000-unit portfolio. Here is the engineering behind Haag scale — from database design to API architecture.
Facility data is sensitive — resident addresses, visitor logs, payment records, and access codes. Here is how Haag secures that data at every layer, from device to database.
Before Haag, a service request at this Lekki Phase 1 estate took an average of 4.5 days to resolve. After three months on the platform, the average dropped to 1.8 days — with full audit trails and zero disputed charges.
Facility management software in Africa has been an afterthought — Western tools bolted onto a fundamentally different context. Haag was built from the ground up for how facilities actually operate in Lagos, Abuja, and Accra.
Before you can manage a facility, you need to model it — buildings, floors, units, common areas, and equipment. Haag facility setup turns a blank canvas into a fully structured property in hours, not weeks.
Facility management generates mountains of data — service requests, payments, meter readings, visitor logs. Haag turns that data into dashboards that help managers make better decisions, not just track what already happened.
